Not only was Boston House Motors in the Common Lane Industrial Estate but so is Red Triangle Auto Services, they now supply most of the parts for Alvis cars, I believe that they bought all of the tooling and jigs and have all the original drawings from Alvis and they could make you a brand new car if you had the money.
This Alvis below was rather tidy, which was at a Wheel on Wednesday at Spetchley Park Classic car meeting.
I believe Avon Bodies which used to be in Millars Road, Warwick had something to do with the trimming of the Alvis at one time, but there were so many other companies doing it also.

I think the first three letters are the owner’s name, said he had a devil of a job finding it, said that he had bought the car in Scotland.
One thing I did find out quite interesting, Thomas George John, the founder of Alvis and Alvis armoured vehicles also had a hand in the design of the M2 Submarine. This was classed as the very first aircraft carrier. I remember this submarine from when I did scuba diving. Somebody left the hanger door open and it flooded killing all onboard.
