Remember Avon Electrical Services which is where Protyres are now along the Emscote Road in Warwick.

It became part of Joseph Lucas Ltd in 1944, but retained its name.

I bought many bits from there at one time, Front Lucas fog lights, reversing lights, relays, batteries, starter motors, generators, wiper blades, wiring cable reels, Lucas terminals and a top of the range Phillips Stereo Eight Track Player with graphic equalizer!

In the mid-1970s it then became Lucas Electrical.

Can’t remember just when it closed down, but I did miss the range of electrical equipment they used to have in stock.
