The Guernsey Garage was on the corner of Church Street and Chapel Street, now occupied by Chapel Cross apartments.
Was built on the site of the Guernsey Temperance Hotel and Boarding House at 29 Church Street.
Don Chambers was the owner in the 1960s.
They had a big red tow truck, ex-army, armoured, rolls Royce engine, no power steering or power brakes, it was a beast.
They used to supply Pink Paraffin from a dispenser that I used a few times myself for my garage heater.
The workshop had a slight downward ramp to get into and was run by Tony Gearan and Bink Morrow in the 1970s.
Both were keen members of the Leamington British Sub-Aqua Club.
Brian Douglas Willis,
A well-respected proprietor of the Guernsey Garage, Leamington Spa.
