Heatcote Automotive (Engineering) Ltd – Leamington

Allen and Violet Heathcote and William Heathcote started the business on 10th July 1963, specialising in engine cylinder rebores and crankshaft regrinds.

William lived a 6 Milverton Crescent West in 1963.

I remember Charlie having a Mk2 Tickford Cortina about 1970 when I had my Mk2 Cortina 1300cc rebored and crankshaft reground, fitted with 1100cc pistons to raise the compression ratio.

Then sometime later he rebored another engine to fit Triumph 1300cc low compression pistons along with, offset ground crankshaft in my 1275cc Morris 1300 GT to produce a 1430cc engine.

Clive Brown looked after the parts department, later apparently had a part-time job at the Trident College in Whitnash.

Allen was Chairman of the company until 1987 when it looks like Charlie has taken over from his father, when in May that year the shares of William have been purchased at £35k.

In 2008 they are now at 37 Millars Road, Warwick, but by 2010 it has become VTS Automotive.

21.1.2010 Charles Henry Heathcote is Director of Heathcote Automotive.

In 2012 google maps shows the company stripped of all signage.

On 9.2.2016 Heathcote Automotive at 37 Millars Road is dissolved.
