Can’t go on any longer without mentioning Percy Johnsons.

The main dealership for many years of the Rootes Group and pre-war Hillman and Humber, agents.

Many thanks to Dave Lewis for the 1960s photo, Percy Johnson is the figure on the right-hand side in a white jacket and Dave’s late father, Arthur Lewis is the second figure from the left, suited with glasses, who ran the spare parts section of the company.
A Mr S.V. Holbrook looked after the servicing in the early 1950s.
This first picture was taken from a book of unknown origin which shows a Humber Snipe or Humber Hawk, also notice the fuel pumps run across the forecourt in this photo.
