Punch Bowl Hotel – Warwick

Punch Bowl Hotel and Filling Station- Warwick.

Matilda Daniels was listed as a car proprietor in 1880.
Possibly owned by E.W Evans or Sidney W. Wincott in the 1920s.

From the Puch Bowls old website in 2016:
About the Punch Bowl – Built around the 1800s it has traded under many guises from staging posts to the public is rumoured to be linked to Warwick Castle via a secret tunnel used as an escape route for the monarchy during times of trouble. Sadly, we as current owners have not been able to find this tunnel or obtain any real evidence of its existence. A great story nonetheless.

We have enjoyed a great deal of success over the period and have refined our offering to meet our customer’s needs, winning CAMRA awards and 5-star hygiene certificates along the way. After many months of development, we open the accommodation side of the business in September 2015. You and your stay are very important to us and we welcome constructive feedback either face to face or via e-mail as we can only improve if you let us know what things we need to improve on. We have music nights with Live Bands on a Thursday night which are great fun and very well attended. You are very welcome to join us at no charge. Check out our website to see which bands are on.
If this is not your thing then do not worry as each floor is soundproofed and the music finishes around 11.00pm.
